All my memories of Christmas are tied up with the infant Jesus in the arms of a Mary, his mother, with Joseph, his foster father looking on. This time there is a paradigm shift in the way I look at Christmas. That is because Jesus – as he has become accessible to us through the Gospel teachings-now occupy centre place in my life.
Jesus , the compassionate face of the Father , is what I dwell on: Jesus healing the sick, curing the Centurion’s servants , and speaking to the Samaritan woman at the well. Jesus the priest , prophet and king.
I now see Jesus in the people I encounter . I am aware now that a Jesus’s incarnation has made it possible for us to intimate with God.
Merry Christmas to all.
